
Karen Nagy is a student journalist double majoring in magazine journalism and international studies, with a geographical focus on Latin American and a professional concentration on cross-cultural communication, indigenous cultural studies, and ethnic identity. Karen dreams of working as a travel writer and as an investigative reporter for an international non-profit, and is always scheming ways to fund her journeys around the globe. She studied travel writing and art history throughout Greece in the spring of 2005, and will perfect her Spanish language skills in Rosario, Argentina, in the summer of 2007. In addition to working for the past two years as a writer and editor for the Oregon College of Arts and Sciences, Karen has held internships at Skipping Stones multicultural children’s magazine and Lane County Young Writer’s Association, while serving as the assistant managing editor for Oregon Internationalist: An Online Journal of Comparative & International Scholarship.
