Kelly Walker relishes the evolution of journalism. She looks forward to utilizing parts old and new, from traditional print magazines and books to dynamic Web sites and blogs, in an ever-deepening and expanding medium for telling the same rich stories in new ways.

Kelly is fascinated by her relationship with the Earth. Having grown up on a small farm in Northern California, she loves to garden and spend time outdoors. She takes great pleasure in cooking fresh vegetables and learning about wine. Kelly hopes to influence contemporary food production in order to promote personal health and viability of the land by educating consumers about their food and introducing alternatives to the norm.
