On-Campus Campsite
Thanks for coming and sharing your thoughts at our urban camping site yesterday!
Perhaps you're headed out camping for Memorial Day Weekend... and perhaps you should consider a twist on the typical ways in which we sleep outside.
In his article "Forget the Five Stars," Rick Olson suggests that you don't have to be lost in the wilderness to find a camping adventure. As we demonstrated yesterday, you can pitch a tent just about anywhere (though we don't recommend trying to sleep on campus overnight!).
If you saw Flux on campus yesterday, we hope that you stopped by our campsite and entered into our REI raffle. This year's magazine theme is "We Can't Keep Doing What We're Doing," which is an open-ended reference to any aspect of our lives that we feel needs adaptation to the times. We asked students and passer's-by, "What can we do instead?"
The most creative answers will receive raffle prizes; if you entered the raffle, look for results on the Flux website!
