"Coming out" Candyland
UO student's spin on the board game intended to foster a more inclusive environment for LGBTQ community.
For her senior project in the family and human services program, Amy Burian has created "Coming out" Candyland, a game based off the original Candyland intended for student groups, residence halls, classrooms, and other University settings.
Partnered with the campus LGBT Education and Support Services Program for her project, Burian designed the game to include students' personal coming out stories and to educate college students about the hardships LGBTQ students endure.
The game will be available this fall as a campus resource. For more information or to play the game contact Cat McGraw (cmcgraw@uoregon.edu), LGBT Education and Support Service Program Assistant.
