Flux Fallout

Feeling finished after final drafts

Flux Fallout

The Journalist. I'm just not seeing the appeal.

Forget alliteration. Focus on FLUX.

There is a substantial void after battling my incensed interview subjects and my incorrigible assistant editors (while I like and respect them endlessly, they are sticklers for word counts and apparently something called the "kabob story structure." In journalism, this is somewhere between, around, or under an inverted pyramid and a martini glass).

(SIDENOTE: Though I'm sure I've parenthetical-phrased you to death - I think I lost this blog post at "hello" - in an unsuccessful search for a breakdown on the "martini glass" writing style, I discovered a mixed drink called "The Journalist." After confusing it with a journalistic style of ordering information, I properly realize that I will no longer order anything else at a bar. A Journalist for the journalist, please. How cute.)

Through the garble of information here, my point remains. I miss having a story to write. I'm reduced to reading a blog called "Ethical Martini" at 1:00 in the morning. A glass of whiskey - or even better, The Journalist - and I'm official. It's time to take on more.

Update: Ethical Martini has the potential to be an interesting blog. Forget I suggested otherwise.

Update x2: It is. Click here for the most recent material; Ethical Martini migrated hosting websites.
