I hate spiders
Shooting at Zany Zoo
A few weeks ago I had a shoot at the Zany Zoo. I had been there once before so I knew what kind of animals they carried, and I was excited to take pictures. What I did not know was that I would be shooting a spider the size of tennis ball. Spiders happen to be the most terrifying things on earth, so I was not at all thrilled. It was a tarantula with hair covering its spindly limbs and back. The owner of Zany Zoo cradled it in his palms as if the spider was his baby. Now as much as I HATE spiders, and the bigger the spider the more I hate, I must admit this spider was almost, ALMOST, pretty. It had these stripes that cut across its limbs, making it appear exotic and dangerous.
Bile almost began to rise in my throat as Dan nudged me closer, encouraging me to get the shot. My heart was racing, I mean my biggest fear was no more than two feet from my face. I could see each individual hair sticking up on the spider's thick body. I gulped, snapped the picture, and quickly backed away, happy it was over. Afterwards, I was glad I had taken the picture but relived that it was back in its cage. Spiders are just not for me, nor Dan.
