The other day I was thinking about what started my passion for photography. Why do I like to take pictures? Why am i so moved by images? The more I thought about it, I realized that i have always been captivated (probably more than most) by pictures. Ever since I was a little kid, nothing brought me greater joy than looking through old family photo albums. I would sprawl out on the floor with piles of photos and photo albums around me, a little palace of imagination, where I would create stories and little biographies about the faces caught on film. I love people and individuals stories, and i feel pictures tell these stories the best, without words to "complicate" what really needs to be expressed. I think the power of a picture is what drives my passion for photography. Capturing those moments that happen in a second and being able to share, even more, let people in a way experience that moment through the photographs. This ability to connect people and express emotions or narrative or ANYTHING without the use of words is what drives my passion. Photography is a universal way to tel stories and connect with everyone. That's why I love pictures, and even more, taking them.
