Picthurrrrrs
Wherein we stare at noses at 400% zoom for a week.
The one thing I really love about lights is I almost always get to shoot at a nice low ISO. Which means, with the right lens, you can basically do a spy-satellite-esque examination of some poor sucker's pores in photoshop.
Which, surprisingly to me, I really like.
I used to absolutely hate having to make obnoxiously complex layer masks for photos, but these days I look forward to it. It's like photographic meditation now. Let the big ass computer screen fill your vision, zoom in nice and close, and brush the hell out of that photo. Need to mask an entire tree-line at the by-the-leaf level? No problemo. Get comfy, crank up that zoom, shut off your brain and let your hand do the walking. Next thing you know it's an hour later, you're calmer, more relaxed, and you've got a layer mask that some might call obsessive. Ahhhhhhhh.
