The end is near!
As this issue of Flux comes closer to a close, it's time to begin a new life chapter
It's so strange to have the end of the term nearing at a seemingly rapid pace.
Not only does that mean the completion of this issue (though the goal is to create a larger and more consistently updated Web version of Flux), but that also means graduation from this University. That means leaving behind essentially all I've known my entire life, which is how to be a student. Soon I can't cling to that, and I must move forward and embrace a professional life.
And that terrifies me a bit.
I loved being a student because so much of it was scheduled and planned. I enjoyed having that structure. And soon, I won't have that as I make a (very awkward) transition into a job and eventually a career. It kills me having no plan in mind as I prepare to take this big life step of graduation.
However, I am incredibly grateful for my experience with Flux this term as a staff photographer. I've gained much more experience that will relate to future jobs than I could have imagined, and I've also been able to improve my portfolio tremendously.
So while I have some anxiety in terms of moving forward and beyond my career as a student, I am at least excited to have quality work to show for that time in my life that will hopefully enhance my future.
