Capturing a moment: that's what excites me about photojournalism. Armed with only a camera, I can take a photograph and open people's eyes to the simplicity and/or complexities of our world. Those moments that happen in a blink of an eye can go unnoticed, but with a camera even the smallest actions can be made into an image. I like that. It makes me feel part of something bigger than myself.

Doing what makes me happy has always been my motivation. Sure, there are tasks I take on that I would rather not, but in the bigger picture I'm always striving for happiness. Whether it be going to college, getting a job, or reading a book, I am always working toward that idea.
